Identity and Contact Data
Enquiry forms collect the name, email address, subject or partnership details, and message that you choose to submit. The briefing launch list records an email address, signup date and the consent wording/version accepted. The jobs launch list also records a name. These are launch-interest lists; regular newsletter delivery is not currently active. Public visitor accounts are not offered.
Technical Data
Your browser sends technical request information, including an IP address and browser information, to the website host and to services it connects to. CookieYes processes information needed to display the consent panel and record your choices. Optional analytics is controlled through those choices.
Usage Data
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics helps us understand visits and interactions with the website. Google processes technical and usage information associated with those requests. How We Use Your Data
We use information held about you in the following ways:
- To respond to enquiries and keep a record of explicitly requested briefing or jobs updates. Regular newsletter delivery is not currently active. An enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
- To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
- To handle the enquiry or partnership request you submit.
- To notify you about changes to our service.
- To maintain the website, investigate faults and protect its operation; optional visit analysis follows your analytics choice.
Data Storage and Security
The website is hosted by Hostinger. Website administrators use access-controlled backups for recovery. Google services, CookieYes and the configured email provider may process data under their own service arrangements; we do not claim that all processing stays within the UK or EEA. We restrict access and use HTTPS, but no online system can promise absolute security.
Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your personal information with selected third parties including:
- Hostinger for hosting, CookieYes for consent management, and Google Analytics when analytics is allowed.
- Configured email and mailbox providers for enquiry messages and website communications. Regular newsletter delivery is not currently active.
- If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation.
Your Rights
You can request removal from the briefing or jobs launch list using contact@obviotech.co.uk, and change optional analytics consent through Consent Preferences. You can request portability where applicable and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact us to exercise your rights; we may need proportionate identity verification.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data (a "data subject access request").
- Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you.
- Request erasure of your personal data.
- Object to processing of your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest.
